Unlike some distilled and over-processed vinegars, Redwood Cider Vinegars are made via a natural aerobic acetation process using fresh, local, non-windfall apples.
They are neither filtered nor pasteurized, retaining the goodness of the vitamins, enzymes and minerals of the original apple source.
No chemicals, preservatives or additives are used.

Garlic is one of the most widely used herbs in the animal world. Scientifically proven to contain antiseptic
and antibiotic properties, respiratory ailments are another potential use as it expels mucus from the lungs
and helps reduce infections. Rich in sulphur which is excreted through the pores of the skin in naturally
repels flies – a real benefit for your animals in summer. Garlic supports the development of natural
bacterial flora, which is critical to good digestion, while killing pathogens.

As well as its obvious palatability, Honey is reported to have a calming and sedative effect on horses. If your animal coughs, honey can reduce irritation and soothes the throat. Rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly Vitamin C and all the Vitamin B group, honey boosts absorption of essential minerals such as zinc, calcium and magnesium. Honey significantly increases calcium uptake. What this means is maintained bone strength. The 25 different honey sugars give sustained energy release and honey can increase hemoglobin count and prevent nutrition caused anemia. The addition of honey to Apple Cider Vinegar destroys harmful intestinal bacteria which can cause stomach ulcers and gastrointestinal upsets.

Scientifically and historically, Seaweed is one of nature’s most mineral rich plants containing over 60 naturally occurring major and minor nutrients, carbohydrates and amino acids.
Over the years, soils of New Zealand have tended to become deficient in minerals, especially the minor minerals. This has led on to animal health problems.
Key points in using the Seaweed/ Cider Vinegar combination:

Seaweed contains available Iodine which promotes the growth and production of dairy cows and also helps to resist diseases and stress.
Apple Cider Vinegar helps the body to absorb the nutrients of the seaweed more efficiently maintaining a healthy digestive system.

Kiwifruit contains the enzyme "Actinidin", which helps to aid in protein digestion.
